Cecilia Sanchietti is an Italian musician, drummer and composer, living between Italy and Sweden. Mentor for KeyChange, Experienced percussion teacher, Director of Improve – Business for Creators, that supports musicians in career development. Artist of the roster of Italian Institutes of culture abroad (CIDIM)

 

AWARDS

2022 – Winner of the Call “Suona all’estero 22. Phase 1” Italia Music Export, with the Cecilia Sanchietti Swedish Quintet. 

2019 – “New Italian Jazz Talent 2019” – PREMIO SIAE.
2017 – Weekly winner of NYC “Hit Like A Girl”, the sixth annual global drumming contest for female percussionists. By Sabian percussion brand.
2009 – Awarded like outstanding musician by “Berklee College of Music” (Boston) in Umbria Jazz.  

 

CD’s AS LEADER

Cecilia has released fifth albums under her own name as leader drummer and composer.

The last one “COLOURS” (01/2024) with Parco della Musica Records and the Cecilia Sanchietti NEW Swedish Quintet (Adam Forkelid, Lutte Berg, Alberto Pinton, Mauritz Agnas), in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm and the Swedish Embassy in Rome.

“POSTCARD FROM GAMLA STAN” (Blu Jazz Chicago, 2021), was released with the Cecilia Sanchietti Swedish Quintet (Anna Lundqvist, Linus Lindblom, Simon Westman, Josef Kallerdahl), in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm and the Swedish Embassy in Rome. LIVE ALBUM at Fasching (Stockholm ’22)

“LA TERZA VIA – The third side of the coin”, was released in 2018 (BluJazz 2018), Ron Savage line notes, Pierpaolo Principato on piano, Marco Siniscalco on electric bass, Feat. Nicolas Kummert (BG) on tenor sax.

The first one “CIRCLE TIME” was released in 2015 with Alfa Music label (IT), David Boato trumpet feat.

 

She had with all CD’s international tour (Italy, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Croatia, UK, Norway, Turkey, Belgium).
